holistic health

Hello,
My name is Sandra Thornton and I have just visited this wonderful town and find that
it could easily be a place to live well. I am wondering if there is a need for holistic skin care aromatherapy and reflexology as I have a great desire to provide these services in Wakefield. I also do Thai yoga massage. If anyone has any suggestions it will be greatly appreciated. Take care for now Sandra
School Closures

Our local Low Down News front page news is all about projected closures of St.Mike's, Wakefield & Chelsea schools. Are we going to be a scattered satellite community in the near future?

Are we going to let our primary aged kids board a bus at 7:30 am to travel to Gatineau returning at 4:30 when the junior & senior high kids finish?

The local schools, like our medical & police services are are an essential string that weaves our rural communities together.

Falling enrollments may be projected. What about smaller, more efficiently run schools with less time and money spent on bussing? What we need is a community forum on what we want for our community & our children.
